The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 237AA A30 grit aluminum oxide abrasive features a resin structure designed to break down under medium pressure, maintaining fresh, sharp mineral cutting for consistent finishes on hard metals such as carbon and stainless steel. It includes a grinding aid that prevents heat buildup, warping, and discoloration. The belt is constructed on an X-weight, durable cloth backing that offers control, conformability, and effective medium-pressure grinding, with a resin bonded abrasive that enhances heat resistance and prevents delaminating. The belt ends are joined using a film media splice, a thin film-joining media that minimizes chatter marks, ensuring smooth running and consistent finishing results. Compared to conventional abrasives, the proprietary Trisect™ abrasives deliver a finer finish, faster results, and extended life, lasting up to five times longer than conventional discs while maintaining sharpness for predictable finishes and improved quality. The three-dimensional structure is uniformly distributed across the surface to provide consistent performance and eliminate disc-to-disc variation.
