The 3M™ TriSect™ cloth belt 237AA measures 3-1/2" x 15-1/2" and features an A6 grit aluminum oxide abrasive with an abrasive and resin structure designed to break down under medium pressure, maintaining fresh, sharp mineral cutting for consistent finishes on hard metals such as carbon and stainless steel. The belt includes a grinding aid to help prevent heat buildup, warping, and discoloration, and is constructed on an X-weight, durable cloth backing that provides control, conformability, and effective medium-pressure grinding. Its resin bonded abrasive enhances heat resistance and prevents delaminating. The belt uses a film media splice, a strong, secure bond joining the belt ends, which minimizes chatter marks, ensuring a smooth running belt and consistent finishing results. Compared to conventional abrasive products, the proprietary TriSect™ abrasives provide a finer finish, faster results, and longer life, staying sharp to deliver predictable finishes and consistent quality. The belts can last up to five times longer than conventional discs and offer precise finish control, allowing operators to reduce grade sequences, process steps, and product use. The three-dimensional structures uniformly distributed across the abrasive surface ensure consistent performance and eliminate disc-to-disc variation.
