The 3M™ Trisect™ Cloth Belt 407EA measures 2" x 132" and features an A110 grit silicon carbide abrasive designed for low to medium pressure applications. It has a flexible JE-weight backing that allows it to conform to surface contours and imperfections, providing a superior finish. The abrasive incorporates a grinding aid that helps it run cool, minimizing discoloration or warping due to heat. Available in a range of grades descending from A110 to A20, the belt uses patented Micro Replication technology, where small three-dimensional pyramid structures containing layers of mineral break down with use to continually expose fresh mineral, maintaining sharpness and consistent cutting performance. This reduces the need for frequent abrasive changes, increasing throughput and productivity. The uniform mineral distribution ensures fixed contact for a consistent cut, suitable for precision applications such as medical implants, surgical tools, and automotive transmission components.
