The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 237AA measures 4" x 132" and features A16 grit aluminum oxide abrasive with a resin structure designed to break down under medium pressure, maintaining fresh, sharp mineral cutting for consistent finishes on hard metals such as carbon and stainless steel. The belt incorporates a grinding aid to prevent heat buildup, warping, and discoloration. Constructed on an X-weight durable cloth backing, it provides control, conformability, and effective medium-pressure grinding. The resin-bonded abrasive enhances heat resistance and helps prevent delaminating. The belt ends are joined with a film media splice, a thin film-joining media that minimizes chatter marks, ensuring smooth operation and consistent finishing results. Proprietary Trisect™ abrasives deliver finer finishes, faster results, and longer life compared to conventional abrasives, starting sharp and staying sharp for improved and predictable finishes. These belts can last up to five times longer than conventional discs, offering precise finish control that reduces grade sequences, process steps, and the number of abrasive products needed. The three-dimensional structures uniformly distributed over the abrasive surface ensure consistent performance and eliminate disc-to-disc variation.
