The 3M™ Trisect™ cloth belt 237AA measures 4" x 90" and features A100 grit aluminum oxide abrasive with a resin structure designed to break down under medium pressure, maintaining fresh, sharp mineral cutting for consistent finishes on hard metals such as carbon and stainless steel. The belt includes a grinding aid to prevent heat buildup, warping, and discoloration, and is constructed on an X-weight durable cloth backing that provides control, conformability, and effective medium-pressure grinding. The resin bonded abrasive enhances heat resistance and prevents delaminating. The belt utilizes a film media splice, a thin film-joining media securely bonding the belt ends to minimize chatter marks, ensuring smooth operation and consistent finish results. Compared to conventional abrasives, proprietary Trisect™ abrasives deliver a finer finish, faster results, and longer life, remaining sharp for improved and predictable quality. These belts can last up to five times longer than conventional discs and allow operators to reduce grade sequences, decreasing process steps and abrasive usage. The three-dimensional structures are uniformly distributed across the surface to ensure consistent performance and eliminate disc-to-disc variation. Suitable applications include blending, centerless and cylindrical grinding, finishing, flat finishing, refining, and stroke sanding.
