The 3M™ TRISECT™ cloth belt 407EA measures 2" x 72" and features A110 grit silicon carbide, designed for low to medium pressure applications. It utilizes a flexible JE-weight backing that allows the abrasive to conform to substrate contours and surface imperfections for superior finishing. The abrasive incorporates a grinding aid to help it run cool, minimizing the risk of discoloration or warping due to heat. Available in a range of grades from A110 to A20, the belt employs patented 3M™ Micro Replication technology, where small three-dimensional pyramid structures containing layers of mineral break down with use to continually expose fresh mineral, maintaining sharpness and reducing the need for frequent replacement. This results in consistent cuts and higher throughput. The belts are suitable for blending, centerless and cylindrical grinding, intermediate finishing, shaping metalworking, and applications in builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polish, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
