The 3M™ Trizact™ cloth belt 307EA is a 3" x 132" A16 grit aluminum oxide abrasive designed for consistent finishing on hard metals such as carbon and stainless steel. It features an abrasive and resin structure formulated to break down under medium pressure, maintaining fresh, sharp mineral cutting. The belt includes a grinding aid to help prevent heat buildup, warping, and discoloration. Constructed on a durable cloth backing, it provides control, conformability, and effective medium-pressure grinding. The resin-bonded abrasive offers greater heat resistance and helps prevent delamination. The belt uses a film media splice, a thin film-joining bond that minimizes chatter marks and ensures smooth running for consistent finishing results. Proprietary 3M™ Trizact™ abrasives produced a finer, faster finish and last longer than conventional abrasives, starting sharp and staying sharp for improved, consistent quality. These belts can last up to five times longer than traditional belts and offer precise finish control, allowing operators to reduce grade sequences and process steps. The three-dimensional abrasive structures are uniformly distributed to provide consistent performance and eliminate part-to-part variation. The primary application is metalworking.
