The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning belt measures 1" x 72" and features a medium grit aluminum oxide abrasive, designed to remove coarse grindlines, mill marks, or small burrs left by cutting tools or conventional abrasives. The Scotch-Brite™ SC surface conditioning belts come in various widths and lengths to fit a range of industrial belt sanding tools used for numerous applications on wood and metal. Wide belts are suitable for sanding and finishing large wood panels on wide belt sanders, medium-width belts are compatible with edge or portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces such as cabinet doors, and narrow belts work with file tools in metalworking to access small areas or inside corners. Manufactured with aluminum oxide, a hard, blocky mineral providing high cut-rate and long life, these belts offer durability and efficiency in rapid grinding, sanding, and finishing on various surfaces. The belt design prevents clogging, as small grooves in the abrasive open while moving around the drive wheel. Suitable applications include blending, blending corners, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, fine finishing, flat finishing, setting the grain, stainless steel finishing, and creating a straightline brushed finish.
