The 1/2 in. x 4 in. lead free seamless red brass pipe nipple is designed to handle a pressure rating of 140 psi and is classified as schedule 40. Manufactured from seamless red brass pipe, specifically alloy 230, these import brass nipples are easier to machine, less brittle to work with, and exhibit superior resistance to corrosion compared to yellow brass, meaning they will not dezincify. The brass material provides good corrosion resistance against water and heat, along with resilience against saltwater, acids, minerals, and peaty soils present in water. Primarily utilized for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, this brass nipple is also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
