The 1 in. x 4-1/2 in. lead free seamless red brass pipe nipple is rated for 140 PSI and meets Schedule 40 specifications. Manufactured from seamless red brass pipe alloy 230, this brass nipple is easier to machine, less brittle, and more corrosion resistant than yellow brass, as it will not dezincify. Brass offers excellent corrosion resistance from water and heat and resists attack from salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils found in water. Primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, this brass nipple is also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
