The 1/2 in. x 6 in. lead free seamless red brass pipe nipple is made from seamless red brass pipe, alloy 230, with a pressure rating of 140 psi and Schedule 40 specifications. These brass nipples are easier to machine, less brittle, and more corrosion-resistant compared to yellow brass, as they will not dezincify. Brass provides good corrosion resistance against water and heat, as well as resistance to attack from salt water, acids, minerals, and peaty soils in water. This pipe nipple is primarily used for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, but it is also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
