The Vacuum System Gas Tube Heaters U-Tube is a natural gas infrared heater designed to provide efficient heating solutions for high heat loss areas, such as loading docks, by offering fuel savings of up to 70%. This heater features U-tube configurations which allow for a vacuum system that pulls products of combustion through a combustion chamber, enhancing radiant efficiency and safety. Key specifications include reliable direct spark ignition and 100% gas shut-off safety control, the capability to use up to 50' of ducting for fresh air intake and 75' of sidewall venting. The vacuum system includes a totally enclosed combustion chamber, a heavy-duty draft inducer assembly with a permanently lubricated totally enclosed ball bearing motor for maintenance-free operation, and highly efficient aluminum reflectors. The unit also comes equipped with a diaphragm air switch, a heavy-duty cast iron burner, a burner inspection sight glass, and a diagnostic monitoring light system. It operates on a 120V supply and is CSA certified. The product dimensions and detailed specifications must be reviewed prior to installation. It has a 5-year limited warranty on tubes and a 1-year limited warranty on the unit. The heater is made in the USA, and installation and service must be performed by a licensed contractor in accordance with local codes or the National Fuel Gas Code ANSI X223.I, also known as NFPA 54, or CGA B149 installation codes in the absence of local codes.
