Merz has established itself as the industry standard in UL certified switches, offering models ranging from 16 amp to 125 amp suitable for both residential and industrial applications. This product features a 4-screw, front-panel mounting cam switch, with the switch and handle securely attached to the panel or wall via the included screws. The cam switches are designed with switching chambers that incorporate 1, 2, or 3 double interrupted conduct paths (Series 111 only), each consisting of 2 firmly seated terminals and one mobile contact bridge guided by a plunger. The contact bridge operates through positive opening by the cam and spring closure. An indexing device is available in various torques and 4 distinct switching angles. The finger-proof cam switches come equipped with screws featuring captive plus-minus heads, while all terminals include screwdriver guiding, funnel-shaped cable entries, and a chamber-like design for ease of use. Cable end stops ensure correct insertion depth. In case the desired switch type is not listed, users are encouraged to contact BSC Preferred Equipment. Additionally, all cam switches can be ordered as a complete enclosed unit, and further switch types may be available upon special request.
