Merz cam switches, recognized as the industry standard in UL certified switches, are designed for both residential and industrial applications, with models ranging from 16 amp to 125 amp. This specific model features a 4-screw, front-panel mounting design, with screws included for attachment of the switch and handle to the panel or wall. The cam switches are equipped with switching chambers that offer contact arrangements of 1, 2, or 3 double interrupted conduct paths (Series 111 only), each comprising 2 firmly seated terminals and one mobile contact bridge guided by a plunger. The contact bridge is positively opened by the cam and closed by a spring. The indexing device is available in various torques and four different switching angles. Additionally, the finger proof cam switches come with screws featuring captive plus-minus screw heads, while all terminals are designed with screwdriver guiding, funnel-shaped cable entries, and a chamber-like design. Cable end stops are included to ensure the correct insertion depth. For those requiring different configurations, additional switch types are available upon special request, and all cam switches can also be purchased as a complete enclosed unit.
