Merz has established itself as the industry standard in UL certified switches, particularly with their cam switches known for quality and reliability. Springer Controls-Merz switches range in models from 16 amp to 125 amp, making them suitable for both residential and industrial applications. This specific model features a 4-screw, front-panel mounting cam switch, with both the switch and the handle secured to the panel or wall by included screws. Depending on their contact arrangement, cam switches come equipped with switching chambers that include 1, 2, or 3 double interrupted conduct paths (Series 111 only), each consisting of 2 firmly seated terminals and one mobile contact bridge guided by a plunger. The contact bridge is positively opened by the cam and closed by a spring. The indexing device is available with different torques and in 4 switching angles. The finger proof cam switches include screws with captive plus-minus heads, while all terminals feature screwdriver guiding, funnel-shaped cable entries, and a chamber-like design. Cable end stops ensure the correct insertion depth. Additional switch types and complete enclosed units are available upon special request.
