Merz cam switches, known for their quality and reliability, are the industry standard in UL certified switches, available in models ranging from 16 amp to 125 amp, suitable for both residential and industrial applications. This specific model features a 4-screw, front-panel mounting design, with the switch and handle securely attached to the panel or wall using the included screws. The cam switches are designed with switching chambers tailored to their contact arrangement, offering configurations with 1, 2, or 3 double interrupted conduct paths (Series 111 only). Each conduct path consists of two firmly seated terminals and one mobile contact bridge, which is guided by a plunger. The contact bridge is positively opened by the cam and closed by a spring mechanism. Additionally, the indexing device is offered in varying torques with four different switching angles. The finger-proof cam switches are equipped with screws featuring captive plus-minus heads, and all terminals incorporate screwdriver guiding, funnel-shaped cable entries, along with a chamber-like design. To ensure proper installation, cable end stops provide the correct insertion depth. If a specific switch type is unavailable, inquiries can be directed to BSC Preferred Equipment, and all cam switches are also offered as complete (enclosed) units, with additional types available upon special request.
