3M™ Cloth Belt 777F 6" x 48" P120 Grit Ceramic is designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by incorporating a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is resin-bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure, making it suitable for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, featuring a ceramic mineral blended with aluminum oxide for a harder, longer-lasting abrasive ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal. This ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, making the belt an excellent choice for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. The belts are available in multiple widths and lengths to accommodate a variety of belt sanders and applications on wood and metal, with wider belts for wide belt sanders to dimension or finish wood panels and metal sheets, medium-width belts for edge sanders on flat and narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders used in sanding or blending wood pieces.
