3M™ Cloth Belt 777F 2-1/2" x 60" P120 Grit Ceramic is designed to protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by incorporating a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, with the abrasive bonded to the backing using resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. It is recommended for dimensioning, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings on stainless steel or other exotic metal alloys. The belt features a proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain, a ceramic mineral that enhances the toughness and hardness of the grain, combined with aluminum oxide to create a harder, longer-lasting abrasive suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal. This ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, ideal for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. Available in various widths and lengths, the belts fit most industrial belt sanders, with wider belts for wide belt sanders used on wood panels or metal sheets, medium widths for edge sanders on flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders on wood pieces. The belt includes a film splice for added strength during high-pressure grinding applications, while an L-Flex option offers greater flexibility for increased conformity and softer finishing and blending touches.
