The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 3" x 10 11/16" with P120 grit ceramic abrasive, designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by incorporating a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is bonded to the cloth backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. This belt is recommended for use on stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. It features a proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain, a ceramic mineral engineered to enhance the toughness and hardness of the grain, blended with aluminum oxide to create a harder, longer-lasting abrasive suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses standard aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, making the 777F ideal for surface preparation and cutting through intense heat and stress applications. These abrasive belts are available in various widths and lengths to fit industrial belt sanders, including wide belts for wide belt sanders to dimension or finish wood panels and metal sheets, medium-width belts for edge sanders to sand flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders used on wood pieces like cabinet doors. The belts come with different flexibilities and splices; the 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F includes a film splice for added strength in high-pressure grinding applications.
