The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 1" x 42" with P120 grit ceramic abrasive, designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys through a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is resin-bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure, making it ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. It features a proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain combined with aluminum oxide to enhance toughness, hardness, and longevity, delivering superior cut rate and durability compared to aluminum oxide abrasives. Suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation, these belts are available in various widths and lengths to fit a range of industrial belt sanders for wood and metal applications. Wider belts are used with wide belt sanders for dimensioning or finishing wood panels and smoothing metal edges, medium-width belts fit onto edge sanders for narrow surfaces, and narrow belts suit portable sanders for blending or sanding wood pieces. The belts come with various flexibilities and splices; the 777F belt includes a film splice for added strength in high-pressure grinding, and when increased flexibility is needed for conformity or a softer touch, an L-Flex splice is available. The product complies with industry performance standards and includes warranty terms applicable as per 3M guidelines.
