The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 6" x 48" and features a P100 grit ceramic abrasive designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys. It includes a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, and the abrasive is resin-bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The belt is recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings made of stainless steel or other exotic metal alloys. Its proprietary ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, blending aluminum oxide with ceramic mineral to create a harder, longer-lasting abrasive suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, making this belt ideal for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. Available in various widths and lengths, these belts fit most industrial belt sanders, with wider belts used for sanding wood panels or smoothing metal sheets, medium-width belts for edge sanders, and narrow belts for portable sanders on wood pieces. The cloth belt 777F features a film splice for added strength under high pressure grinding applications, while an L-Flex splice option provides additional flexibility for conformity and softer finishing or blending.
