The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 4" x 168" and features an 80 grit ceramic abrasive designed for use on heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys. It incorporates a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, with abrasive grains bonded to the backing using resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, blended with aluminum oxide to provide a harder, longer-lasting abrasive ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal, dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. This ceramic/aluminum oxide blend offers superior cut-rate and durability compared to standard aluminum oxide abrasives and is suitable for intense heat and stress applications. The belt is available in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders, including wide belts for wide belt sanders used in wood panel dimensioning, metal sheet edge smoothing, or stainless steel grain patterning; medium-width belts for edge sanders used on flat, narrow surfaces such as panel edges; and narrow belts for portable belt sanders for sanding or blending smaller wood pieces like cabinet doors. The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F features a film splice for added strength in high-pressure grinding applications, with options including L-flex splices for increased flexibility and conformity in finishing and blending tasks.
