The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F 2" x 132" 80 grit ceramic is designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys including stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys, featuring a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is resin-bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure, making it suitable for use on stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. It utilizes proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain, a ceramic mineral that enhances toughness and hardness, blended with aluminum oxide for increased performance, resulting in a harder, longer-lasting abrasive ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal. This ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses standard aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, making it optimal for surface preparation. The belts come in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders and are applicable for sanding wood and metal surfaces, including wide belts for wide belt sanders, medium-width belts for edge sanders, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders. The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F features a film splice for added strength during high-pressure grinding applications, with the option of L-Flex splice for increased flexibility and conformity needed in finishing and blending tasks.
