The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 1" x 132" and features an 80 grit ceramic abrasive designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by incorporating a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is bonded to the cloth backing with resin to ensure durability under high heat and pressure. This belt is recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings on stainless steel or other exotic metal alloys. It utilizes proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain that enhances toughness and hardness, combined with aluminum oxide for a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend outperforms traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, making it suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation. Available in various widths and lengths, the belts accommodate sanding wood and metal, fitting most industrial belt sanders; wider belts are compatible with wide belt sanders for dimensioning and finishing wood panels or metal sheets, medium-width belts fit edge sanders for flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts are suitable for portable sanders used on wood pieces like cabinet doors.
