The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 1" x 30" and features an 80 grit ceramic abrasive designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys. It includes a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, and the abrasive is resin-bonded to the cloth backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. This belt is recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings made from stainless steel or exotic metal alloys. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, while the aluminum oxide blend increases performance for harder, longer-lasting abrasives suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal. Ceramic abrasives are engineered to cut fast and handle intense heat and stress, surpassing standard aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability. The 777F cloth belt is available in various widths and lengths to accommodate wood and metal sanding applications, fitting most industrial belt sanders. Wide belts are compatible with wide belt sanders for dimensioning or finishing wood panels and smoothing rough metal edges; medium-width belts fit edge sanders for narrow flat surfaces such as panel edges; and narrow belts are used with portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces. This belt features a film splice for added strength in high-pressure grinding applications, with optional L-flex splices available for more flexibility and conformity in finishing and blending tasks.
