The 3M™ cloth belt 777F measures 2" x 132" with a 60 grit ceramic abrasive designed to protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by using a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is bonded to the backing with resin to ensure durability under high heat and pressure. This belt is recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. It features proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain combined with aluminum oxide for enhanced toughness, hardness, and longer-lasting abrasive performance, suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend provides superior cut-rate and durability compared to aluminum oxide abrasives, making it ideal for surface preparation. Available in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders, wider belts are used for wide belt sanders on wood panels and metal sheets, medium-width belts fit edge sanders for flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts are used with portable belt sanders for smaller wood pieces. The 777F belt includes a film splice for added strength in high pressure grinding applications and offers different flexibilities such as L-flex for increased conformity or softer finishing. The product complies with industry standards for abrasive performance and carries a warranty according to 3M terms.
