The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Cloth Belt 984F measures 3-1/2" x 15-1/2" and features 60 grit precision shaped ceramic grain, designed to continually fracture into super-sharp points and edges that slice cleanly through metal, resulting in a super-fast cut with less heat build-up that reduces heat-related stress cracks and discoloration. This abrasive belt lasts significantly longer than conventional ceramic grain belts due to its cooler and sharper abrasive, decreasing costs and reducing belt changeovers. It is ideal for industrial environments, heat resistant, produces a uniform finish throughout its life, and helps eliminate burning during end-grain sanding applications. The belt uses YF-weight cloth backing for durability, with resin-bonded mineral for reliable performance under high heat and pressure. The precision shaped ceramic grain is electrostatically oriented in triangular peaks that continuously shelf-sharpen to provide extra-long life, consistency, and reduced grinding pressure. This results in Cubitron™ II products outcutting and outlasting conventional ceramic abrasives, maximizing productivity while minimizing belt stress and operator fatigue. Abrasive belts come in various widths and lengths and are compatible with multiple belt sanding tools.
