3M™ cloth belt 777F is designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys, featuring a grinding aid that lowers running temperatures. The abrasive is bonded to the backing with resin for durability under high heat and pressure, making it ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. This belt utilizes proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain, which enhances the toughness and hardness of the grain, and includes aluminum oxide for improved performance, resulting in a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend outperforms traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making the 777F suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation. Available in various widths and lengths for sanding both wood and metal, the belts are compatible with most industrial belt sanders. Wider belts are used with wide belt sanders for dimensioning or finishing wood panels and metal sheets, medium-width belts fit onto edge sanders for flat surfaces, and narrow belts are used with portable sanders. The belts offer various flexibilities and splices, with the 3M™ cloth belt 777F featuring a film splice for strength in high-pressure applications, while L-Flex provides increased flexibility for conformity and a softer touch, and FullFlex offers maximum flexibility.
