The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F, measuring 3" x 132" with 60 grit ceramic, is designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by incorporating a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is resin-bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. This belt is recommended for use on stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. It features a proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain that enhances toughness and hardness, combined with aluminum oxide to create a harder, longer-lasting abrasive ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend delivers superior cut-rate and durability compared to aluminum oxide abrasives, making the Cloth Belt 777F well-suited for surface preparation and moderate stock removal. Available in various widths and lengths, these belts accommodate sanding wood and metal with options for wide belts for dimensioning or finishing wood panels and smoothing metal edges, medium-width belts for sanding flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable sanding or blending work. The belt ends are joined using a film splice that provides added strength for high-pressure grinding applications. For increased flexibility or a softer touch during finishing and blending, an L-Flex splice option is available. Warranty terms apply as provided by 3M.
