The 3M™ cloth belt 777F measures 4" x 36" with 60 grit ceramic abrasive designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys. It features a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, and the abrasive is resin-bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. This belt is recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings made from stainless steel or other exotic metal alloys. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain combines ceramic mineral for toughness and hardness with aluminum oxide to create a harder, longer-lasting abrasive, ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend outperforms traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability. The belts are available in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders, including wide belts for wide belt sanders, medium-width belts for edge sanders, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders. The 777F belts include a film splice for added strength in high-pressure grinding applications. Options for greater flexibility, such as L-Flex splices, provide increased conformity and a softer touch for finishing and blending tasks. Warranty terms apply as specified by 3M.
