The 3M™ cloth belt 777F measures 2-1/2" x 60" with a 60 grit ceramic abrasive designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys. It includes a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, and the abrasive grain is bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The belt is recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings made from stainless steel or other exotic metal alloys. It features a proprietary ceramic abrasive grain blended with aluminum oxide to enhance toughness, hardness, cut rate, and durability, making it suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation. These abrasive belts are available in various widths and lengths, fitting most industrial belt sanders, including wide belts for wide belt sanders, medium-width belts for edge sanders, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders. The 3M™ cloth belt 777F includes a film splice for added strength in high-pressure grinding applications, and options such as L-Flex provide greater flexibility for conformity, finishing, and blending.
