The 3M™ cloth belt 777F measures 1" x 42" with a 60 grit ceramic abrasive designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by reducing running temperatures. The abrasive is bonded to the cloth backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. This belt is recommended for stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. It features a proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain that enhances toughness and hardness, blended with aluminum oxide for increased performance, making it suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal while handling intense heat and stress. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses standard aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability. The belts are available in various widths and lengths to fit industrial belt sanders, including wide belts for sanding wood and metal panels, medium-width belts for edge sanding flat narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders used in finishing and blending applications.
