The 3M™ cloth belt 777F measures 1" x 30" with 60 grit ceramic and is designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys. It features a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures and uses resin to bond the abrasive to the backing, ensuring durability under high heat and pressure. The belt is recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings made from stainless steel or other exotic metal alloys. It employs a proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain, which enhances toughness and hardness, combined with aluminum oxide for a harder and longer-lasting abrasive suited for moderate to heavy stock removal. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making it ideal for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. Available in various widths and lengths, the belts fit most industrial belt sanders, with wider belts for wide belt sanders used in wood panel dimensioning and metal sheet finishing, medium-width for edge sanders on flat narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable sanders on smaller wood pieces. The 3M™ cloth belt 777F features a film splice for added strength under high pressure grinding conditions and offers options for flexibility and splices, including an L-flex for increased conformability and a softer touch for finishing and blending.
