3M™ cloth belt 777F 4" x 132" 50 grit ceramic is designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by using a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, with the abrasive bonded to the backing using resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. It is recommended for use on stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The belt features proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain, a ceramic mineral that enhances toughness and hardness, combined with aluminum oxide to create a harder, longer-lasting abrasive suited for moderate to heavy stock removal. This ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability. Available in various widths and lengths, the belts fit most industrial belt sanders; wider belts are suited for wide belt sanders used to dimension or finish wood panels and metal sheets, medium-width belts fit edge sanders for sanding narrow surfaces such as panel edges, and narrow belts are designed for portable belt sanders for tasks like blending wood pieces. The belts include different flexibilities and splices, with the 777F featuring a film splice for added strength in high-pressure grinding applications, and an L-flex option available to offer greater flexibility for increased conformity or a softer touch during finishing and blending.
