The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 3" x 132" with a 50 grit ceramic abrasive designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by reducing running temperatures with a grinding aid. The abrasive is bonded to the resin-backed cloth to maintain durability under high heat and pressure, making it suitable for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. It features a proprietary ceramic abrasive grain blended with aluminum oxide to enhance toughness, hardness, and durability, offering superior performance for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation compared to standard aluminum oxide abrasives. Available in various widths and lengths, these belts accommodate wood and metal sanding applications on wide belt sanders, edge sanders, and portable belt sanders. The belts include different flexibilities and splices, with the 777F belts featuring a film splice for added strength in high pressure grinding, while an L-Flex option provides increased flexibility for greater conformity, finishing, and blending tasks.
