The 3M™ cloth belt 777F measures 2" x 132" with 50 grit ceramic abrasive, designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys. It features a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, and the abrasive is bonded to the cloth backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The belt incorporates a proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain engineered for enhanced toughness and hardness, blended with aluminum oxide to create a harder, longer-lasting abrasive ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal. This ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making the belt suitable for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings on stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys. The belts are available in various widths and lengths, fitting a wide range of industrial belt sanders, from wide belt sanders for wood panels and metal sheets to edge sanders for flat narrow surfaces and portable belt sanders for blending wood pieces. The 777F features a film splice for added strength in high-pressure grinding applications, with options such as L-Flex for greater flexibility and conformity when a softer touch is required.
