The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 2" x 72" with 36 grit ceramic abrasive designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys, featuring a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive grains are bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure, making the belt suitable for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. It uses a proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain that enhances toughness and hardness, blended with aluminum oxide for increased performance, durability, and cut-rate, ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation. These belts come in various widths and lengths to fit a wide range of industrial belt sanders for applications in sanding wood and metal, with wider belts used on wide belt sanders for dimensioning or finishing wood panels and smoothing metal sheet edges, medium-width belts for edge sanders on flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable sanders on wood pieces. The 777F belts feature a film splice that provides added strength in high-pressure grinding applications, and options such as L-Flex splices are available to offer greater flexibility when needed for conformity or softer finishing and blending touches.
