The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Belt 947A measures 1/2" x 18" and features a 40 grit ceramic abrasive grain precision-shaped and coated on an X-weight poly-cotton backing. The resin bonding provides heat resistance, and the belt is recommended for dry use. It delivers outstanding performance in a variety of applications ranging from high-pressure automated grinding to low and medium pressure offhand operations. Compatible equipment includes backstands, file belt sanders, inline sanders, and stroke sanders. Suitable for descaling, finishing, intermediate finishing, light grinding, mill scale removal, radiusing, right angle grinding, shaping metalworking, and use in industries such as builders hardware, metal fabrication, metal implants, and plumbing fixtures.
