The 3M™ cloth belt 777F measures 1/4" x 18" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain combined with aluminum oxide for increased durability, toughness, and cutting efficiency, making it suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications and is effective on heat-sensitive metals, usable in both wet and dry conditions. This belt protects against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys with a grinding aid that reduces operating temperatures. The abrasive is resin-bonded to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys, it is ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, while the ceramic/aluminum oxide blend outperforms standard aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability. Available in various widths and lengths, these belts are compatible with a broad range of industrial belt sanders—wider belts for wide belt sanders for wood panels and metal sheets, medium-width belts for edge sanders on flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders used in woodworking and blending applications.
