The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 1" x 18" and features a ceramic P120 grit abrasive. It combines 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain with aluminum oxide to enhance durability and cutting efficiency, making it suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. The heavyweight cloth backing supports high-pressure applications, functions well on heat-sensitive metals, and can be utilized in both wet and dry conditions. This belt protects against heat on sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by incorporating a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, while the abrasive is resin-bonded to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys, it is ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary ceramic abrasive grain improves toughness and hardness, and the blend with aluminum oxide provides a harder, longer-lasting abrasive capable of fast cutting and withstanding intense heat and stress. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend outperforms aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, making the cloth belt 777F excellent for moderate stock removal and surface preparation.
