The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 1/8" x 24" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide designed for increased durability and cutting efficiency, suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, works well on heat-sensitive metals, and can be used in wet or dry applications. The belt includes a grinding aid to reduce running temperatures, protecting heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys. The abrasive grain is bonded with resin to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for use on stainless steel or exotic metal alloys, it is ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, with an aluminum oxide blend for a harder, longer-lasting abrasive, providing fast cutting and high performance under intense heat and stress, surpassing standard aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability. These abrasive belts are available in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders; wider belts are for wide belt sanders used to dimension or finish wood panels or smooth metal sheet edges, medium-width belts fit edge sanders for sanding flat narrow surfaces such as panel edges, and narrow belts are suitable for portable belt sanders used in sanding or blending wood pieces.
