The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 52" x 75" and features a ceramic 80 grit abrasive, combining 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain with aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency, suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, performs well on heat-sensitive metals, and can be used in both wet and dry conditions. This belt is designed to protect against heat-sensitive alloys like stainless steel, nickel, and cobalt alloys through a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, with the abrasive bonded using resin for durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings on stainless steel or exotic metal alloys, the proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, while the ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses standard aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability. Available in various widths and lengths, these belts accommodate sanding of both wood and metal, fitting most industrial belt sanders, with wider belts used for wide belt sanders on wood panels or metal sheets, medium-width belts for edge sanders on flat narrow surfaces such as panel edges, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces.
