The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 2-1/2" x 72" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide to provide increased durability and cutting efficiency, suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, performs well on heat-sensitive metals like stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys, and can be used in both wet and dry conditions. The belt incorporates a grinding aid to reduce running temperatures and the abrasive is bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings, it contains a proprietary ceramic grain designed to enhance toughness and hardness. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses standard aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making it an excellent choice for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. These abrasive belts are available in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders including wide belt sanders for wood panels and metal sheets, edge sanders for flat narrow surfaces, and portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces.
