The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 37" x 60" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide, designed for increased durability and cutting efficiency, suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, works well on heat-sensitive metals, and can be used in both wet and dry conditions. The belt protects against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by incorporating a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, with the abrasive bonded to the backing using resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for use on stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys, it is ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, and the aluminum oxide blend creates a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. Ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, making this belt suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation on wood and metal. Available in various widths and lengths, wider belts are used with wide belt sanders to dimension or finish wood panels, smooth metal edges, or add grain patterns to stainless steel sheets; medium-width belts fit edge sanders for sanding flat, narrow surfaces like panel edges; and narrow belts are used with portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces.
