The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 37 inches by 75 inches and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide for increased durability and cutting efficiency, suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications and works well on heat-sensitive metals in both wet and dry conditions. The belt protects against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys through a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, with the abrasive bonded to the backing using resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for use on stainless steel and other exotic metal alloys for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings, the proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, while the aluminum oxide blend increases performance for a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. Designed for moderate to heavy stock removal, the ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses standard aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making the cloth belt ideal for surface preparation on wood and metal.
