The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 37" x 75" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide, designed for increased durability and cutting efficiency suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, works well on heat-sensitive metals, and can be used in both wet and dry conditions. The belt protects against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys by using a grinding aid to reduce running temperatures, and the abrasive is resin-bonded to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for stainless steel and exotic metal alloys, it is ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings. The proprietary ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, while the aluminum oxide blend improves cut-rate and longevity, making it suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation. The belts come in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders, with wider belts used on wide belt sanders for dimensioning or finishing wood panels and metal sheets, medium belts for edge sanders to sand flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders to sand or blend wood pieces.
