The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 3" x 132" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide, providing increased durability and cutting efficiency suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. The heavyweight cloth backing supports high-pressure applications, works well on heat-sensitive metals such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys, and is usable in both wet and dry conditions. The belt includes a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures to protect heat-sensitive alloys, and the abrasive is bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings, it is engineered to handle intense heat and stress with enhanced toughness and hardness due to the ceramic mineral abrasive, while the ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses standard aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability. These belts come in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders, with wider belts suited for wide belt sanders to dimension or finish wood panels and metal sheets, medium-width belts for edge sanders used on flat, narrow surfaces like panel edges, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces.
