The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 2 inches by 132 inches and features a ceramic P120 grit abrasive composed of a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency. It is designed for moderate stock removal to finishing operations and is supported by a heavyweight cloth backing that withstands high-pressure applications and is suitable for use on heat-sensitive metals in both wet and dry conditions. This belt protects against heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys through a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures, while the abrasive is bonded with resin to ensure durability under high heat and pressure. Recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings, the proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness and is blended with aluminum oxide to create a harder, longer-lasting abrasive ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal and capable of handling intense heat and stress. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend offers superior cut rate and durability compared to aluminum oxide abrasives, making the 777F cloth belt ideal for surface preparation. These abrasive belts are available in various widths and lengths to accommodate a wide range of industrial belt sanders, including wide belts for dimensioning or finishing wood panels and smoothing metal sheet edges, medium-width belts for sanding flat, narrow surfaces like panel edges, and narrow belts for portable sanders used on wood pieces.
