The 3M™ Cloth Belt 777F measures 3/4" x 18" and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide, providing increased durability and cutting efficiency suitable for moderate stock removal to finishing operations. It has a heavyweight cloth backing that supports high-pressure applications, works well on heat-sensitive metals such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys, and can be used in both wet and dry conditions. The grinding aid incorporated reduces running temperatures to protect heat-sensitive alloys, while resin bonding maintains abrasive durability under high heat and pressure. This belt is recommended for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and finishing castings and forgings, particularly on stainless steel and exotic metal alloys. The ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, with the aluminum oxide blend offering improved performance, cut-rate, and longevity over aluminum oxide abrasives alone.
