The 3M™ Cubitron™ II cloth belt 984F measures 2-1/2" x 60" and features precision shaped ceramic grain with 36 grit on a YF-weight polyester cloth backing. This belt includes a grinding aid to enhance performance, making it suitable for medium to high-pressure applications on stainless steel, exotic alloys, carbon steel, cobalt chrome, and nickel alloys. It is recommended for offhand and pressure grinding on all exotic metal alloys. Common applications include centerless and cylindrical grinding, chrome stripping, deburring, descaling, flat finishing, grinding, high-pressure grinding, parting line removal, and shaping, primarily in the metalworking industry. The product complies with relevant industry standards and carries a warranty as specified by 3M.
